How it works
Four steps. None of them share your real location.

Answer questions
Questions grouped into categories. You do not have to finish them in one sitting — open any category whenever you like. The more you answer, the sharper your matches get.

Pick your interests
From climbing to pottery, chess to freediving. Rare interests count for more: something everyone picks does not distinguish you, something you actually do does.

See your compatibility
Compatibility is two-way. It is not enough that you like their answers — they have to like yours too. If you set boundaries (smoking, pet allergies), a mismatch there ends the match entirely.

Meet
See compatible people nearby on the map, send a connection request, start talking.
Three questions will not give you 100%
Someone who answered a handful of questions appearing at the top would destroy your trust in every percentage you see. The question part of the score is scaled by a confidence factor that rises with the number of questions you have both answered.

Your location is not shown on the map
This is not a marketing line, it is how the system works. Your location is rounded to roughly a 3 km area, and the point shown on the map is placed inside that area with a fixed offset unique to you. However many times you open the app, you appear at the same point — so nobody can take several readings and work out where you really are.
- Your real coordinates never appear in any API response
- Distance is shown as a range like "~3 km", never a decimal
- Location updates only when you open the app — no background tracking
- Free users see a density map, not individual people
- You can disappear from the map entirely whenever you want

Raw coordinates are not stored
Your location is rounded to three decimal places before it is saved. A database trigger enforces it.
The score is two-sided
It is the geometric mean of both sides' satisfaction, which punishes one-sided satisfaction hard.
Few questions will not give you a high score
The question part is scaled by a confidence factor that rises with the number of questions you have both answered.
How compatibility is calculated
The percentage you see is not a single number: it comes from both sides' satisfaction, how many questions you have both answered, and how far your interests overlap. The split below shows the default weights.
