No. Ruh Eşi is built for friendship: for finding people to hike with, listen to the same band with, or talk about the same thing for hours. That is not a positioning line, it is how the product is put together. The questions and interests measure whether you would enjoy each other's company, not romantic compatibility. There is no swipe deck, no like counter and no field for romantic intent.

Anyone who wants to meet someone new: people who have just moved to a city, whose social life has shrunk to work, or who have been in the same circle for years. The minimum age is stated in the Terms of Service; where your country sets a higher age, that applies.

Soon. We are not giving a date, because a date we miss is no use to anyone. The app is not in any store yet, so if you find a page promising an App Store or Google Play link, it is not ours. When it ships, this page and the download page will say so.

iOS and Android. The app is written in Flutter from a single codebase, so both platforms arrive together. On the web there are only these marketing pages and the legal texts — matching and chat do not run in a browser.

Turkish and English. Questions, options, categories and interests are stored bilingually in the database, so adding a language means filling in translations rather than shipping code. If you have not chosen a language, the app follows your device.

There are two components: question compatibility and interest overlap, split 65 per cent to 35 per cent by default. On the question side every question carries an axis — some call for similarity, on others difference works better, and some are informational and never enter the score at all. On the interest side overlap is weighted by rarity, so something almost everyone picks does not distinguish you. The score is the geometric mean of both sides' satisfaction: it is not enough that you like their answers, they have to like yours too.

You have probably answered only a few questions so far. There is a confidence factor, and it trims the question component only — it does not touch the interest component: the more questions you have both answered, the closer it gets to 1, and when there are few it pulls the question side down. With three questions in common the factor is 0.27, so the question component is trimmed to that fraction. That is deliberate — a 100 per cent built on three answers would ruin your trust in every other number on the screen. Fill in a couple more categories and the percentages settle where they belong.

Some questions do not measure compatibility, they filter: smoking, pet allergies and the like. A mismatch on one of them drops the score to zero and that person never appears for you. Dealbreakers never push a score up — they are either violated or they contribute nothing. If you state no expectation on one, it filters nobody out.

No. Only the core category is required at sign-up — four questions. You open the rest whenever you like, in any order, and each category shows its own progress, such as 4/12. Within a question, only your own answer is required. What you expect from the other person and how much the question matters to you are optional; leave them out and the question's default acceptance rule and default importance apply.

Your real location never appears in any API response. Your coordinates are rounded to three decimal places — about 110 metres — before they are stored, and a database trigger enforces that. The point other people see sits inside a roughly 3 km cell, placed with a fixed offset derived from your account. Fixed matters: a random offset could be averaged out by someone who queried you a few times, revealing where you really are. Distance comes back as a range such as under 5 km rather than a decimal. Dropping cells that hold fewer than five people is not a blanket rule across the API — it is defined only for the area density view, and that view is still on the way.

By default people see your initials only, such as A. Y. If you have set a nickname, that is shown instead of the initials. Your full name becomes visible in two cases: when the other person reveals you, or when the two of you become friends. Your age is shown; your date of birth is not.

Block them, report them, or both — both sit in the menu at the top right of someone's profile. When you report, you pick one of the categories. Blocking works in both directions: they cannot see you either, and neither of you turns up in the other's lists or matches. A report enters the moderation queue and can lead to action on the account. You do not have to report in order to block, or block in order to report.

Yes. A photo you upload is not visible anywhere — not on your profile, not in anyone else's results — until it has passed moderation, which is done from the admin panel. So a newly uploaded photo may not appear straight away.

With your email address. You enter the address, we send you a code, you type the code in. There is no password to choose or forget.

Yes — you can use it for free. Answering every question, seeing your compatibility, seeing compatible people near you and replying to any message you receive all cost nothing. The basic age and radius filters are there on the free plan too, but the radius is capped at 10 km; Ruh Eşi+ raises it to 500 km and unlocks the advanced filters. On the free plan you can start one conversation a week; replying to a message you receive is never capped. Seeing individual pins on the map comes with Ruh Eşi+; the area-level density view that stands in for it on the free plan is still on the way.

No. Paying speeds things up, it never leaves anyone unable to reply — a free user can always answer a message they receive. That is a deliberate decision: a paywall that stops the other side from replying leaves the paying user with nobody to talk to. If you would rather not subscribe, you can buy tokens and reveal people one at a time. A reveal is permanent: once someone is open to you, they stay open even after a subscription ends.

From inside the app, in one step. You do not need to email support or fill in a form.

The account goes out of use immediately and a 30-day window opens; sign back in during that time and you can undo it. After 30 days your personal data is permanently erased and cannot be restored.
